『小樽運河 開運まんじゅう』は、たっぷりのハチミツと国産黒砂糖を生地に練り込み、一粒一粒丁寧に皮を剥いた北海道産小豆のこし餡を包んで蒸し上げた黒糖まんじゅうです。

パッケージには、UNGA↑の商標をあしらい、北前船を宝船に見立て、七福神を乗せた絵柄と、小樽倉庫の屋号「海運×開運」を表すマークがデザインされています。周囲には、宝船によく見る回文をあしらい、海運の街小樽から開運を途切れないようにと願いを込めて作られました。

[Otaru Canal Good Luck Manju]

UNGAPLUS collaborates with local businesses and artisans active in Otaru, Hokkaido, to develop original products that embody the unique spirit of Otaru.

The “Otaru Canal Kaiun Manju” is a brown sugar manju made by kneading plenty of honey and domestic brown sugar into the dough, then wrapping it around a smooth red bean paste made from Hokkaido-grown adzuki beans—each bean carefully peeled by hand—and steaming it.

The packaging features the UNGA↑ trademark, along with a design depicting a Kitamae ship as a treasure ship carrying the Seven Gods of Good Fortune, and a mark representing the Otaru warehouse’s trade name, “Maritime Transport × Good Fortune.” The design is accented with a palindrome commonly seen on treasure ships, created with the wish that good fortune will never cease in Otaru, the city of maritime transport.
