札幌の木工作家・清水宏晃さんの熊彫『くま歩き方』と『くま一寸』が多数入荷しています。

北海道の南部にある八雲町が発祥の地と言われている「熊彫」。農閑期の収入源として始まった木彫り熊が、北海道を代表する土産品として広まり、今ではコレクターも生み出すほど多くの人を魅了しています。

清水さんの手によって生まれる「熊彫」は、木目の美しさと彫り跡から木の温もりが伝わり、手の仕事が感じられる一品。場所を選ばない、手のひらに載るサイズ感も魅力です。

オンラインショップでは、北海道産の槐（えんじゅ）、ウォルナット、黒檀で作られた作品をご紹介しております。店頭では、オンコやクルミの材を使用した作品もお取り扱いしております。

北海道・札幌市に工房を構える木工作家。主に無垢材を使用したテーブルや椅子、スツールなどの家具や器、オーダー制作のほか、北海道産の木材を使用した熊彫や雪像彫刻の制作など、幅広い創作活動に取り組んでいる。 命のある素材「木」の持つ性質を想い、永い時間をかけて育った「木」で、愛着を持っていただけるモノ作りを心がけて制作している。 道内外の百貨店やギャラリーでの展示会を中心に発表。

[Hiroaki Shimizu/wood bear carving]

We have received “Kuma-bori” (wood-bear-carvings) by Sapporo-based wood artist Hiroaki Shimizu, including the “Kuma Arukikata” and “Kuma Issun” series.

“Kuma-bori” is said to have originated in Yakumo Town, located in southern Hokkaido. What began as a source of income during the off-season for farmers has grown into a representative souvenir of Hokkaido, captivating so many people that it has even attracted a dedicated following of collectors.

The “Kuma-bori” created by Mr. Shimizu are pieces that convey the warmth of the wood through their beautiful grain and carving marks, allowing you to truly appreciate the craftsmanship. Their compact size, which fits comfortably in the palm of your hand, makes them perfect for any setting.

In our online shop, we feature works crafted from Hokkaido-grown Chinese scholar tree (Enju) and ebony. In-store, we also carry pieces made from Japanese white birch (Onko) and walnut.
