We have received new items from the “Roux” series by NUIT, a ceramic artist based in Yuni Town, Hokkaido.

The collection includes three styles: a “Soup Bowl,” a “Bowl,” and a “Mug,” all featuring dual handles. While their forms are simple, these pieces exude a strong presence thanks to their rich, deep hues.

The ‘Roux’ series, with its eye-catching, original color palette, combines the texture of “rust-like iron” with “green.” Though these elements may seem contradictory, the series carefully expresses a sense of balance, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike. The antique-inspired hues, reminiscent of verdigris, develop a richer patina with use, making these pieces truly captivating for their evolving character.
